Position Title – Retail Assistant Manager

Job: Supervise the daily operations of dispensary, including but not limited to; ordering, notary duties, sales, cash handling processes, financial reporting, inventory management, vendor relationships, customer service, regulatory compliance, patient communication, patient education, and building/managing an effective team.

Reports to: General Manager

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
As Assistant Manager; you will be expected to fulfill the managerial roles at all times and support the General Manager. Your role will manage the following key components; store operations, merchandising, staffing, training, rewards, discipline, and evaluations. Oversight of purchases and sales of all products and supplies (containers, bags, etc.). Create and sustain vendor relationship. Train, coach, and encourage success of Assistant Managers and all staff members. Execute and enforce compliance efforts and local and state regulations. Scheduling for the retail staff. Complete daily sales reporting. Training team members in excellent customer service and implement on all levels. Coordinate with marketing team to understand the success of promotions, coupon, etc. and to recommend future promotions and sales. Event coordination for in-store patient appreciation parties, holidays, etc. Maintain accountability for all team members.
Develop and lead manager meetings and monthly team meetings. Daily communication via email to Operation’s Manager, Manager, and retail staff as needed. 50 hours/week is expected, but outside of that schedule (i.e. meetings, deliveries) might be required. Physical duties may be required including but not limited to; lifting and moving boxes, inventory, and/or equipment. Make sure that all operations of the stores run smoothly.

Supervisory Duties: Supervise all operations, and procedures per hours of operation. Holding all staff accountable for adhering to processes, procedures, and job roles.

Job Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older. California residency, no felony convictions and must successfully pass an extensive background check. Must have reliable transportation.

Knowledge: Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products. Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations.

Education: High School Diploma, Some college preferred

Experience: 1-2 years in retail management experience.
